Part of 360 approach to employee wellbeing, Transguard Group is pleased to announce the opening of 13th fitness facility.
13th fitness gym is located in Jabal Ali females, and it is fully equipped with all of the essentials including a multi gym machine, treadmill, stationary bicycles and free weights.
Exercise is most important part of health.
Senior management, site-based, and office workers from Transguard were present at the inauguration ceremony. Paul Alam, a physical trainer, led a workout after the ribbon-cutting event. Site-based employees can also take advantage of free self-defense and Zumba lessons offered at the new gym on a regular basis.
The launch of the gym is one of many ongoing initiatives within the organization focused on women’s wellness: Transguard has also recently started offering free sanitary napkins to all site-based female staff as part of a new campaign to promote menstruation health and cleanliness. Miriam Treacy, Head of Legal, Transguard Group: “We have been highly inspired by the several global movements that seek to eradicate ‘period poverty’.” We currently distribute more than 1,700 menstruation goods to our female colleagues each month because we think that having access to period products is a fundamental human right.
Throughout the month of October, Transguard has provided plenty of opportunities for both office and site-based staff to educate themselves on breast cancer and the importance of early detection. These include breast cancer awareness talks with specialist doctors and surgeons, free medical check-ups, as well as discounted rates for mammograms.
