Foreign Service Regional Medical Officer is Working In

Conditions

  1. Own a U.S. passport and be available to serve anywhere in the world.
    2. Possess the ability to receive Top Secret Security Clearance.

Requirements

A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) degree from a university in the United States or Canada that was accredited by a reputable U.S. accrediting body in the applicant’s graduation year; an MD, DO,

             or

 Equivalent degree from a foreign institution that offered academic and medical training comparable to accredited universities in the U.S. A Fifth Pathway Certificate or the permanent certification of the applicant’s institution by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) may serve as evidence of this equivalency. Candidates must be currently board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Osteopathic Board in Family Practice (preferred), Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine (acceptable). State medical licenses, American Board certification and recertification, and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
